NMEAconnect offers versatile connectivity options to a wide range of NMEA sources via TCP/UDP, BLE, internal or external GPS modules, simulation, and logfile input. It functions effectively as an NMEA server or bridge, supporting data transfer over TCP/UDP protocols.

With NMEAconnect, users benefit from:

• Support for NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000, SignalK, and MQTT data from nearly any compatible device
• A straightforward setup process with preconfigured sources, complemented by flexible configuration options
• An organized interface where data values are sorted into clearly defined 'Modules'

• The capability to act as a server or repeater for forwarding NMEA messages to other devices (noting that many NMEA-WiFi gateways support only a single client)

• An innovative ‚nmeaconnect://‘ protocol designed for providing NMEA data to external systems such as Filemaker databases

Devices not supported include Garmin GNT 10 and chartplotters, as well as Raymarine WiFi-compatible devices. These manufacturers currently do not collaborate with the platform and maintain proprietary systems.
